Rosoka GeoGravy Location Intelligence

posted Oct 3, 2014, 10:31 AM by James Kraemer   [ updated Oct 3, 2014, 10:33 AM ]

Data Intelligence has added Rosoka GeoGravy integration to the Entity Analytical Platform.  Rosoka GeoGravy software provides the benefit of adding locations, cities, buildings, roads, landmarks and facilities to Data Intelligence entities.

GeoGravy is location intelligence, providing advanced analytic information incorporating cartographic data that enhances Data Intelligence entity analytics. GeoGravy offers extraction tagging, keyword tagging, or coordinate Latitude/Longitude identification.  Data Intelligence entities, enhanced by GeoGravy, are displayed on Open Source maps based on GeoGravy coordinates.

Data analysts submit Source Documents through the Data Intelligence Platform and Rosoka GeoGravy returns geo-aware entity nomination results.  Data Intelligence integrates GeoGravy through an API solution resulting in more complete data that merges complex business information with geographic tagging, listing or area information.

Rosoka GeoGravy is provided by IMT Holdings. IMT Holdings, Corp. (IMT) develops and delivers the best in high-value, Business and Government Analytic information software products. They specialize in natural language processing (NLP) for content analytics, including entity and relationship extraction and Geospatial coordinate mapping and geotagging products.

Rosoka Cloud

posted Mar 2, 2014, 8:57 AM by James Kraemer   [ updated Mar 2, 2014, 9:14 AM ]

Data Intelligence now supports integration with Rosoka Cloud as an Information Extraction engine to the Entity Analytical Platform via the Amazon Web Service Marketplace. Rosoka Cloud is a multilingual entity and relationship extraction engine configured as an Amazon Web Service.  Analysts submit Source Documents through the Data Intelligence Platform and Rosoka returns entity nomination results. Rosoka Cloud can process PDF, TXT, HTML, XML, DOC, DOCX, and most ASCII or Unicode text documents.

Rosoka Cloud is provided by IMT Holdings. IMT Holdings, Corp. (IMT) develops and delivers the best in high-value, Business and Government Analytic information software products. They specialize in natural language processing (NLP) for content analytics, including entity and relationship extraction and Geospatial coordinate mapping and geotagging products.

Data Intelligence uses a plugin architecture to add additional Information Extraction engines. The Data Intelligence Entity Recommendation Server and Rosoka Cloud sevice allow Data Analysts to explore entities through multiple options. Expect more integration with IMT Holding software.  Future Data Intelligence enhancements will include integration with Rosoka GeoGravy software, which provides the benefit of adding locations, cities, buildings, roads, landmarks and facilities information.

Information Extraction

posted Oct 9, 2013, 6:44 PM by James Kraemer   [ updated Oct 9, 2013, 6:44 PM ]

Data Intelligence has added exciting new Information Extraction features to the Entity Analytical Platform. The features were accomplished through the integration of the best open-source libraries including the Apache Tika toolkit, Apache OpenNLP, and the Apache UIMA project.

Analysts can run text and metadata extraction from source documents and produce lists of recommended entities. The information extracted from source documents is used to nominate new entities and perform entity analytics over the repository.

To accomplish recommendations, Data Intelligence has released the new Data Intelligence Entity Recommendation Server. The Recommendation Server runs as a separate application that can receive REST requests and return recommendation results for use by the Entity Anayltical Platform.

Different recommendation engines can be plugged into the Recommendation Server using UIMA PEAR files. The OpenNLP Named Entity Annotator is loaded by default into the Recommendation Server, which offers excellent out-of-the-box results. Different engines can be trained for various intelligence missions such as finance, military or cyber. Data Intelligence also provides the same hooks for integrating with separate UIMA servers, which means there is no vendor lock-in for entity extraction.

Source Documents

posted Oct 1, 2013, 6:21 PM by James Kraemer   [ updated Oct 1, 2013, 6:21 PM ]

The Data Intelligence Platform now stores documents directly to the platform. Documents are saved and become linked to their Source. Entities can be attributed directly to the Document. When sourcing entities to a document it is useful to think in terms of "attributing" the information back to its origin.

Saved documents within Data Intelligence are retrievable in their original format. Data Intelligence provides a simple interface for storing and retrieving analyst files. Expect additional entity features to come that will exploit the intelligence in the saved documents.

Location Aware Entities

posted Sep 24, 2013, 8:38 AM by James Kraemer   [ updated Sep 24, 2013, 8:39 AM ]

Data Intelligence has added spatial coordinates as a new entity attribute type. Analysts can now persist the latitude and longitude coordinate values of an entity. Attributes are treated exactly the same as other entity values.

The Data Intelligence Platform allows for geospatial searching of the new location aware entities. Data Intelligence users can proximity query the entity repository for entities that are close to a specified location or near another location aware entity. The distance is calculated to the point and displayed along with the proximity query results.

The addition of geospatial location aware entities is a major new feature that will help analysts plot entities across the globe.
